I'm M'Kayla Lott, the proud owner and creative mind behind our handcrafted candle business. YKL was born from a deep admiration for my mother, a remarkable woman who epitomized beauty, strength, and success. Inspired by her entrepreneurial spirit, I pursued my dream of being my own boss after graduating from UCO with a Bachelor's degree in general studies.

 

For years, I pondered on how to channel my passion into a business that reflected my values of beauty, naturalness, and sustainability. YKL Concrete & Candles emerged as the embodiment of these ideals. Our candles are far from ordinary; crafted from natural waxes like coconut and beeswax, and scented only with safe, clean, and toxin-free fragrance oils. Each candle is a testament to uniqueness and beauty, mirroring the essence of both myself and my mother.

 

The name YKL holds a special significance, representing the fusion of our middle names - Young Kristisha Louise. As a woman working from home, I am dedicated to nurturing my physical and mental well-being while simultaneously nurturing my business from its inception.
